There are two types of smelling loss–complete loss of smell (also called “anosmia”) and partial loss of smell (also called “hyposmia”). Losing your ability to smell can come from a variety of health factors, including Covid-19, allergies, colds, upper respiratory infections, aging, and neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's or Alzheimer's.
Studies have shown that olfactory training, the process that involves smelling the oils regularly to “challenge” the nerves responsible for sending smell messages to the brain, can be effective in regaining your sense of smell. Those nerves are known to be able to heal and regrow in a process called neuroplasticity. Many of the researchers have used the four scents of Rose, Clove, Lemon, and Eucalyptus in the research.
The kit includes 4 Aroma Sticks, with the recommended oils, instructions on use, and a bag to keep them in.
How to use: Twice daily, morning and evening, inhale deeply for 20-30 seconds with each of the four scents, separately. Do this for 12 weeks. You might want to keep a journal to log your progress.
